Step Brothers (Evidence & Alchemist) - Nothing To See/Hear (Free Download)

Axel F. (J.Rocc & MED) - Sofa Coins (Live Video)

In support of their recent collaborative EP under the name Axel F., J.Rocc and MED did a live recording of the track "Sofa Coins" from the "Sofa Set EP". Backed by the band Balance and The Traveling Sounds, MED rocked a live version with J.Rocc on the turntables.

Blitz The Ambassador - The Warm Up EP (Free EP)

Blitz The Ambassador's full length album "Afropolitan Dreams" is due mid September so until then he's dropped the free project "The Warm Up EP". The set includes features from Fashawn and the UK's own Ty, amongst others.

Soul Khan - Resolution EP (Free Download)

If you still have no Soul Khan music in your collection by now, shame on you. Soul has been releasing quality music for years now. After his monstrous appearances on the battle circuit and his eventual retirement, he is one of the few who has made the transition to song making. Not just battle rap after battle rap. Actual music.

Today, the Brown Bag AllStar made one of his past EPs a free download. The "Resolution" EP was released back in 2011 and is entirely produced by Marink. It's one of many EPs and singles available on his Bandcamp page (some for a small fee). Also on there you can find his debut album "Soul Like Khan" which is also free. You've nothing to lose by checking out his music.

14KT - Lincoln Lux (Test Drive EP) (Free Download)

Another free instrumental has arrived. This time coming from Michigan's14KT. This is a small EP as a warm up for his album "Nickel & Dimed" out in September through Mello Music Group.

Mello Music Group come through again with more free music goodness. This time producer Duke Westlake drops a six track instrumental EP which will serve as the first in a series of free EPs.

The Regiment - Off The Record (EP) & One Of A Kind (Video)

A couple of weeks ago, Detroit natives The Regiment released a free EP named "Off The Record". The offering is entirely produced by Australia's Alter Ego and definitely gives off a positive vibe, which is one of the group's main objectives. Check their blog and mission statement here.

Found this EP over at OnSmash. Not too unfamiliar from Frank Ocean's lane, this Odd Future affiliate has  released a nice selection on this short album. Tracks 2-6 are available for free download.

Shad + Skratch Bastid - The Spring Up

Just a small post for an EP that was released early last month from Shad and Skratch Bastid. A good little collection of tracks as a warm up to the upcoming new album from Shad. How the EP came about is explained below, followed by the Bandcamp link. A couple of videos of Shad's older music can be seen after the link.

"The Spring Up is the result of fortunate timing, grapefruit Perrier, a shared high school obsession with Outkast's Aquemeni, and a couple of sessions at Skratch Bastid's Toronto studio this April. The 5 track collection marks a moment in time for the pair; embodying the spirit of Spring and also serving as a sort of prelude to Shad's upcoming full-length, to which Skratch Bastid also contributes. The collection features a production assist from DJ Jazzy Jeff, and a turn on the mic from compatriot Cadence Weapon."
