You know, I've always found it funny how boring "artists" who make it to the mainstream think that they really hold any weight when it comes to actual talent. The fact that a bunch of kids who still play their tinny MP3s at the back of the bus support you says a lot. Throwaway.
It seems like I'm not the only one who thinks like that and I'm glad a certain "artist" is being called out on it too. Shotty Horroh via Link Up TV has just systematically dismantled your little sister's favourite rapper.
Dr. G provides the soundtrack to this verbal beating and you need to listen to it now.
It's been a long five years since Elzhi's tribute to Nas with his "Elmatic" album. The wait is now over for a new project from El as he prepares to release "Lead Poison" at the end of March.
Here with have the first video from the set with "February" which we heard at the tail end of 2015. Over a dreamy but busy percussive track from 14KT, Elzhi talks about his fight with depression, the old days and the loss of his friend J Dilla. The visuals do a great job of tapping in to his mind regarding these subjects.
Here we have the visuals to Washington Heights emcee Skematics' latest track, "4 Elements". The video features The Yardfather himself, Saigon, as well as one half of Blahzay Blahzay and frequent Sean Price collaborator, PF Cuttin, who produced the track.
The single is available on iTunes now but look for the upcoming EP from Skematics, "Somewhere In The Grey".
Danse of Brooklyn Stickup returns with a new video for his single "FUSMD". Accompanied by April Oneill on vocals, Danse delivers an homage to the underdog. Despite the no nonsense lyrics on the track, he shows a sense of hope and personal accomplishment with the guests in the visuals. #FUSMD

On November 20th, ShedTheLight welcome the debut appearance of Skyzoo to Manchester. This show has been a long time coming considering the length of time Skyzoo has been around and putting out music.

I've definitely been lacking on the posts as of late. I don't really have an excuse other than lack of inspiration to publish any new content. Maybe that's more of a reason than an excuse.
Anyway, I was snapped out of that funk yesterday when I was treated to the new offering from Manage. As a member of Caxton Press and before that, Chain Of Command, Manage has come through with the goods. Classic UK music.
Check out the new video for "Soul Root" as Runone delivers a throwback soundscape for Manage to let loose on. Love this track.
