Juicy 4th Birthday

Juicy

Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some but not for the guys at Juicy who will be celebrating their 4th birthday down at Gorilla. After four years of sold out Wednesdays, monthly Friday events, extending their nights to London and Liverpool, hosting some big names in Hip Hop and being part of festivals up and down the country, Juicy goes in to its fourth year busier than ever.

If last year's party was anything to go by, this will be a roadblock!

Get your advance tickets for this as it will likely sell out. Tickets available on Skiddle.

Skyzoo & Antman Wonder - An Ode To Reasonable Doubt (EP) & "Meeting The Presidents" (Video)

SK

In honour of Jay Z turning 44 a couple of days ago, Brooklyn's Skyzoo has put together a collaboration EP with Philadelphia composer Antman Wonder. The two have created "An Ode To Reasonable Doubt".

"Skyzoo & Antman Wonder present the collabo EP "An Ode To Reasonable Doubt". Released via First Generation Rich Inc., in conjunction with Loyalty Digital Corp. In light of Jay-Z's 44th birthday, we present the orchestral remake of Jay's finest moment. The 9 song EP shows Philly composer Antman Wonder recreating the original beats with live string sections, horns, etc, while lyrically its written from the perspective of Sky placing himself in the emotions that Jay displayed on the original, but from his point of view, as opposed to reinterpreting Jay's life. Covert art by MB Bowens and Courtney Jefferson."

Check below for the Bandcamp stream/download options and also watch the video for "Meeting The Presidents".

Jay Z turns 44 years old today so just thought I'd post some of his classic videos that don't get the shine that they deserve. I took a couple of tracks from his underrated album "In My Lifetime Vol.1". Give that another listen.

A$AP Mob - Trillmatic feat. A$AP Nast and Method Man (Video)

A$AP

The A$AP Mob certainly have their moments and this is one of them. While Rocky and Ferg have both enjoyed solo success and recognition, it's the turn of A$AP Nast to get a little shine. He steps out on the track "Trillmatic" which is from the collective's upcoming, as yet, untitled album.

This video took me back to the Yo! MTV Rap days and having Method Man adding a verse made it seem even more official. Looking forward to hearing more from the Mob.
