Kanye West Unreleased MTV Interview (Video)

Kanye

This is so refreshing to see. An unreleased MTV interview that hasn't been seen until recently shows Kanye West talking about his start in the music industry, the early days of Roc-A-Fella Records, his hopes for the future and a whole lot more. He talks with the same passion he shows nowadays but in a less biting and arrogant/confident manner.

Watch the hour long interview below.

Bowski on 1Xtra's Fire In The Booth (Video)

 Bowski

After winning the 1Xtra rap battle at this years Leeds Festival, Bowski stepped up for the latest episode of Charlie Sloth's "Fire In The Booth". This was recorded a few weeks ago so everyone who knows him has been looking forward to seeing this. Nice one Bowskdog! Well deserved mate.

Eminem - Rap God (Live at YouTube Music Awards)

Em

Last night saw the first ever YouTube Music Awards take place at NYC's Pier 36. To say the night didn't go without a few hiccups is an understatement but was still more interesting to watch than the stale MTV Video Music Awards.

Spike Jonze was the creative director behind the whole evening which saw 'live music videos' performed by artists including M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt & Tyler, The Creator, Lady GaGa and others. The night was closed out with a performance from Eminem with "Rap God".

Spin Doctor of London's The Doctor's Orders recently caught up with the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff for a rare Q&A session. They discuss a number of topics including the Grammy's, artists he's worked with and life on the road to name a few.

Watch the 50 minute video below and make sure to check The Doctor's Orders website.

Eminem - Saturday Night Live Performances (Video)

snl

Eminem was the music guest on this weekend's Saturday Night Live. He performed "Survival" and "Berzerk". The fact that he got Rick Rubin to appear alongside him is pretty impressive. I hear he doesn't leave his house that often.

Props to Yardie for the uploads.

Marco Polo - G.U.R.U. feat. Talib Kweli & DJ Premier (Video)

MP

Marco Polo drops a fantastic video for the track "G.U.R.U.", a tribute to the late rapper. Talib Kweli lends his voice to the record with cuts from the other half of Gangstarr, DJ Premier.

This is one of the best videos I've seen for a while and I have to admit that I got slightly choked up towards the end of the clip when you see Preemo watching Guru on a TV. The look on his face lets you know that Guru is sorely missed.

This song lives on Marco Polo's album "PA2: The Director's Cut". Available now.

Stalley - Gettin' By (Video)

St

MMG's Stalley drops off another new visual from his "Honest Cowboy" mixtape with the track "Gettin' By". Another example of why he is, in my opinion, head and shoulders above the rest of his label mates artistically.

Scram Jones - Dead Giveaway (Free EP)

SJ

Not one to miss out on the Halloween music freeness, Scram Jones delivers his "Dead Giveaway" EP which he's been cooking up for a few months. Guests include Raekwon, Uncle Murda, Saigon and Troy Ave.

Xzibit, B-Real & Demrick - Serial Killers Vol.1 (Mixtape)

DJ Doo Wop - Halloween Candy (Mixtape)

Doo

The Bouncemasta DJ Doo Wop releases a nice new mixtape of R'n'B and rap remixes. It's titled "Halloween Candy" and has nothing to do with Halloween but is a great selection. Worth the free download!

Yelawolf & DJ Paul - Black Fall (Free EP)

BF

Yelawolf and DJ Paul join forces for a free EP named "Black Fall".

Allen Iverson Officially Retires

AI

Tonight one of the greatest basketball players of a generation will officially retire. Allen Iverson will be honoured at the Philadelphia 76er's season opener against the Miami Heat. Despite not suiting up in an NBA uniform for three years, AI will be officially retired in the city he called home for much of his career.

He never managed to get that elusive championship with the Sixers, although he came very close in 2001, but the numerous awards, personal accolades and the numbers he put on the board over the years speak volumes. The only thing I can really do is show some video highlights of his career and to wish him well. It's a sad day.

Watch his retirement press conference followed by some highlights.
