WATCHDEEZ.BLOGSPOT.COM has turned one today so just thought I'd say thank you to anyone who's checked it over the past 12 months. Also a big thank you to all the artists and friends who have made material that I've included on the blog. I really try to include music that doesn't necessarily get the coverage it deserves. Of course, there are a fair amount of mainstream inclusions but I genuinely enjoy everything I add on here.

Please continue to check back and share if you can. And I know you can. ;)

Joell Ortiz drops the video to "House Slippers" which serves as the title to the album. Over production from !llmind, Joell talks about the comfortable place he is in nowadays hence the name of the track and album.

The track is also produced by the legendary DJ Premier who comes through with an unorthodox beat that totally fits Dilated.

The new album "Directors Of Photography" is released on the 12th of August through Rhymesayers but is up for pre-order now.  You can expect production from Diamond D, Jake One, Alchemist, 9th Wonder and more.

As Fuse TV continue their recent sweep of UK vinyl enthusiasts, up next is a very important figure in the introduction of independent Hip-Hop vinyl outside of the US, as they interview Dave "Mr. Bongo" Buttle. When it comes to Devin The Dude and his usual subject matter, the title of his latest video "I'm Just Gettin' Blowed" could mean two things. This time though it's another account of his love of smoking those special cigarettes. With laid back production from Tha Bizness, Devin does what he does best.

Chuck Inglish - Legs feat. Chromeo (Video)

Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids drops off a new video for the track "Legs" with a little help from Chromeo. The song is taken from his debut album "Convertibles" which is out now.

Mr. Thing on Crate Diggers (Video) / In The Loop: The Final Cypher Session

Mr. Thing is one of the best DJs I've witnessed over the years. I've seen him quite a few times and he never fails to bring an amazing party to life. This is most likely down to his wealth of music knowledge and pretty impressive vinyl collection to choose from.

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Deeper (Video)

Freddie Gibbs and Madlib release a new visual from their collaborative album "Piñata" for the track "Deeper". Gangsta Gibbs tells stories of how different people close to him have turned and hurt him through the years over gorgeous production supplied by Madlib.

The album is out now.

Method Man & Redman Live In Manchester

Finally! Yesterday it was announced that one of Hip-Hop's illest duos will be hitting up Manchester on July 18th. Method Man and Redman will be making their return after a long time away from the city when they take over The Ritz.

Personally, I've been waiting forever for this as I missed them perform here previously and Method Man was absent at the Wu-Tang show I attended a number of years back. The Ticallion Stallion and the Funk Doctor Spock on my doorstep! Can't wait.
