Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival 2014: 10th Anniversary (Video)

BKHHF

Once again, another Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival has happened and I haven't been. Like I keep telling myself, "there's always next year".

This year saw another great line up including Pro Era's CJ Fly, CyHi The Prynce, DJ Rob Swift with Brand Nubian and the headliners Jay Electronica and Raekwon. As always there were a few surprise guests who showed up. Most notably were the performers that Jay Electronica brought out.

A lacklustre verse from Mac Miller was followed by Talib Kweli and J.Cole jumping on stage to perform Reflection Eternal's "Just Begun". There were always going to be suspicions that Jay's label boss would show up and after a delayed and mistimed cue, Hov himself did show his face for a few cuts.

Check a selection of highlights below. More videos are up on Daily Motion.

Krafty Kuts on Crate Diggers (Video)

Krafty

One of the reasons I enjoy the "Crate Diggers" series so much is because of episodes like this. The passion and pure enjoyment that music brings to the DJs who play it. This episode with Brighton's Krafty Kuts is a brilliant example. Watch the latest installment below.

Watchdeez.blogspot.com Is One Year Old!

WATCHDEEZ.BLOGSPOT.COM has turned one today so just thought I'd say thank you to anyone who's checked it over the past 12 months. Also a big thank you to all the artists and friends who have made material that I've included on the blog. I really try to include music that doesn't necessarily get the coverage it deserves. Of course, there are a fair amount of mainstream inclusions but I genuinely enjoy everything I add on here.

Please continue to check back and share if you can. And I know you can. ;)

I'll try to keep it interesting.

Thanks.

Gez

Now, here's a music video for you to enjoy from Marco Polo and Torae!
