Jay Z turns 44 years old today so just thought I'd post some of his classic videos that don't get the shine that they deserve. I took a couple of tracks from his underrated album "In My Lifetime Vol.1". Give that another listen.

A$AP Mob - Trillmatic feat. A$AP Nast and Method Man (Video)
The A$AP Mob certainly have their moments and this is one of them. While Rocky and Ferg have both enjoyed solo success and recognition, it's the turn of A$AP Nast to get a little shine. He steps out on the track "Trillmatic" which is from the collective's upcoming, as yet, untitled album.
This video took me back to the Yo! MTV Rap days and having Method Man adding a verse made it seem even more official. Looking forward to hearing more from the Mob.

Magnum Opus: The Making of Busta Rhymes' "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" (Video)
Busta Rhymes' hit making ability is undeniable. He's been doing it for twenty years now. From his early days with Leaders Of The New School and solo debut with "Woo Hah! Got You All In Check" to his recent hit "Thank You" alongside Q-Tip, Bus a Bus has classics.
The one that sent him astronomically is the classic cut "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See". And who could forget the amazing Coming To America themed video? Complex's latest installment of Magnum Opus explores the making of this groundbreaking record with input from the song's producer Shamello, along with other comments from Talib Kweli, Jarobi, Elektra Records A&R Dante Ross and a host of others.

Follow Friday - The Doppelgangaz & Timeless Truth
Instead of spending money I shouldn't be on Black Friday (I just did), I thought a "Follow Friday" segment was in order. The groups that I've decided to feature are two that I've been following for a few years now. Both make back to basics Hip Hop and is exactly what people are crying out for these days. Or so they say...
I won't give you bios for them. You can discover that yourself. All I'm doing is shedding some light and hopefully putting some great music your way. To those already listening, kudos. To those this is new to, hope you enjoy as much as I do. Check out The Doppelgangaz and Timeless Truth.

Eminem - Rap God (Video)
Eminem finally drops the visual to his culturally, musically and lyrically dense track "Rap God". With nods to The Matrix and Max Headroom (Google that youngers) amongst others, Marshall delivers one of the standout mainstream videos of the year.
Kanye West Interview on Sway In The Morning (Video)
You may or may not of heard about Kanye West going ballistic on air yesterday. Yeezy appeared on Shade45's "Sway In The Morning" and gave a really entertaining interview. Despite the fact his was a little disrespectful to host Sway Calloway during the interview, for the most part you can see that Kanye is a passionate and charismatic person.
Check the whole interview below but if you're more interested in seeing Ye going basura, skip to 17 minutes in.

A Tribe Called Quest Reflect On Their Legacy (Video)
Revolt TV caught up with Jarobi, Ali Shaheed Muhammed and Phife at their recent performance as part of Kanye's Yeezus tour. With clips from the show, they reflect on their legacy in the music industry. Q-Tip was obviously busy elsewhere.
Phife Dawg on "The Questions" (Video)
Two Tribe related posts in one day! Nice. Phife Diggy appears on the latest episode of Okayplayer's "The Questions". He answers a number of questions including what his favourite Dilla beat is and his highlights from ATCQ's 'final' show on the Yeezus tour.
Busta Rhymes - Thank You feat. Q-Tip (Video)
The Dragon and The Abstract release the video to their track "Thank You" with intros from Lil Wayne and Kanye West. This has such a good feeling about it and I hope there's more of this on Busta and Tip's upcoming collaborative mixtape.
